The CIC’s annual event raises funds that help us educate the public about the natural and cultural history of Washington’s Pacific Coast and inspire the joy and wonder of nature.
Join us the first Saturday in October at the new Oyhut Bay Event Center! Guests will enjoy a seafood dinner, an excellent selection of silent and live auction items, and the chance to hear about recent accomplishments and future goals of the CIC.
Get excited – tickets go on sale June 5!
Watch this space! We will post a selection of auction items here in the fall.
Since its inception in 1977, the Coastal Interpretive Center has been serving the coastal community, entertaining and educating school groups, families, and THOUSANDS of yearly visitors from all over the world.

Raves from the Center’s guest book reveal why the Center is beloved to visitors and residents of all ages:
Strategic partnerships with schools, the City of Ocean Shores, Grays Harbor County, state, and national agencies allow the Center to develop and deliver hands-on science programming as well as citizen scientist programs that help monitor our coastal environments. Hands-on exhibits, guided adventures, and educational programs: all are accomplished thanks to support from our volunteers, members, donors, and our sponsors!
Did you know that of the fourteen salamanders found in Washington, eleven of them can be found within our service area? Coastal Salamanders introduces you to these eleven species and what makes them unique. Visitors will also be able to report their salamander spottings.
The exhibit will be on display from May 4th-November 3rd, 2024.
