FAD stands for Fishing Aggregation Device. They are floating objects designed to attract fish by providing location for their prey to thrive. Using fish finders, fishermen can see how many fish are located near the device.
Our two FADs originated from Ginoza, a village on the eastern coast of Okinawa, Japan. They were gifted to us by Ginoza officials after they washed up near Copalis Beach thirteen months apart from each other.
