In order to maintain a safe environment for our staff and community, the Coastal Interpretive Center’s Board of Directors has moved to adopt a COVID-19 Vaccination Policy requiring employees and volunteers to be vaccinated or show proof of a negative COVID-19 test prior to every shift.
Please take a moment to review the Center’s COVID-19 Vaccination Policy below. If you have any questions regarding this policy or other preventative measures that we are taking against COVID-19, please contact us.
Policy Brief and Purpose
The Coastal Interpretive Center recognizes the effectiveness and safety of the COVID-19 vaccines and testing; the purpose of this policy is to safeguard the health of our employees, volunteers, and community from COVID-19 especially those most vulnerable and those who are not eligible to be vaccinated.
This policy complies with all applicable laws and is based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, State and local health authorities, and the recommendations set by the Federal government.
Scope
This policy applies to all employees and volunteers who work in the Center and/or at Center-sponsored events.
Policy
All Center staff must provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within two days of a scheduled shift. If a staff member is unable or chooses not to get vaccinated, and cannot provide proof of a negative test within the approved time period, that staff member will not be able to work their scheduled shift.
Thank You!
We appreciate your cooperation in helping us keep our community safe, especially for those most vulnerable and those who are not able or eligible to get vaccinated. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding this policy. Thank you again!
